LONGHAIRS® Annual Christmas Poem
Happy Holidays, To All And Yours…
“THE LONGHAIRS® Annual Christmas Poem….”
(*AHEM*) DO scroll….
“And a very Very Hairy Christmas to All…”
‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house,
Not a longhair was stirring, not one non-salon mouse;
The hairnets were hung by the chimney with care,
Hoping for Longhairs products to grow great long hair;
Little long hairs were nestled snug in their beds,
While visions of VERY long haired dance in their heads;
Those with braids and those in night hat,
On Satin pillows for a LONG winter’s nap,
Then out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my bed, to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
I tore open the shutters and pushed my hair from my lash….
Planet of Longhairs, adust with new-fallen snow,
Gave the lustre of mid-day, to objects below.
When, peering through my locks should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer,
So Handsome, the driver, so longhaired and slick,
I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick.
All silver and white, his luxurious mane,
And he whistled, and shouted, called reindeer by name;
Now, THRASHER! now, DANCER! now, PRANCER and FIXIN!
On, COMBIT! on COOLLID! on, LONGER and no SPLIT-ZENS!
To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!
Now for hairs longer! And longer! And longer for all!
As long hair before the wild hairdryer fly,
He has not a tangle, on Longhairs’ stuff they do rely,
His hair over house-tops, swirled silver it blew,
Longhairs Blisstips ends oil on the tips for St. Nicholas too.
And then, in a twinkling, has a yearly trim on the roof,
Rein-deer prancing and pawing and trying to make her goof.
Comb in her hand, and a full moon that’s round,
….I shaped old St Nick’s hair without making a sound.
He was dressed in red and fun-fur, from his head to his boot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot;
I said about the bundle he had flung on his back,
“Be careful not to get your silken tresses stuck, neath straps of this pack.”
His eyes — how they twinkled! His hair did now shine!
His cheeks were like roses, his blush like red wine!
His hair ’round his mouth was whiter than snow,
Both Hair and his Beard had that Longhairs® glow;
The stump of a pipe he still held tight in his teeth,
While I lifted his hair and trimmed underneath;
He had a broad face and hair to his belly,
He smiled and he laughed, and then you could tell he
looked fit trimmed and breezy, such a polished old elf,
I felt proud when I saw him, in spite of myself.
A twink of his eye, a shine on his tresses, the beard and his on his head,
By the time he visits the Carribbean, ’twill be Natty Dread!
He shook his head, cuz it went straight in his way,
Then filled all the hairnets; With Longhairs Products (YAY!)
Hair out of his eyes and out of his nose,
A silver blur with red, up the chimney he rose;
As he sprang to his sleigh, The ladies do whistle,
Like sound of long hair, through some natural bristle.
Then I heard him exclaim, wow ! (he LOOKED great!!…out of sight;-)
HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL,
AND A LONGHAIRED GOOD-NIGHT!
Best in Warmth and Wishes for the Season, Have a Happy New Year
